Adventure Weekend

About once a month "Adventure Weekend" is offered to a mixed-age group of children associated with the Children's Farm and others in our local community.  It typically begins on a Saturday afternoon and ends about noon on Sunday

Imagine a place where kids can experience the company of children  older and younger than themselves, helping each other preparing meals, building play structures, exploring acres of meadows, jungles, and forests; then ending the day with a camp circle and overnight slumber party.

Since the beginnings of humanity children have learned about life, their culture and themselves through interacting with and emulating older kids.  They gained leadership, pre-parenting skills, self esteem, and a respect for future generations through mentoring younger kids.  Adventure Weekend provides a mixed-age format reminiscent of village life.
