Adventure Weekend  at The Children's Farm

Our Facility

The Yard

Our large fenced yard is an extension of the house and features climbing structures, a huge sand-play area, a lush children's garden, water play and plenty of room for romping. We have an abundance of scaffolding, ladders, and materials to build elaborate play structures. We use real carpentry tools in the supervised woodworking areas, and children are free to utilize a wide variety of art mediums.

The Inside

Our facility is specifically designed for children. The spacious light-filled room features a cozy loft, child-sized play sinks, art and project tables, block-building areas, and an abundance of multi-aged resources for construction projects, dramatic play, arts, music, and all manner of creative self expression. There is an abundance of books, puzzles, games and quiet spaces to enjoy them.

The Land

Using our dozen acres of land as a medium for learning is central to the structure of Adventure Weekend. The children are exposed to nature and in every type of weather. Whether they are romping in the meadow, gathering fruit from the orchard, catching tadpoles in the pond, feeding sheep in the pasture, or hiking to the ancient oaks; the children's natural curiosity leads to the wonder of exploration and investigation of our natural world.
